Meals

Dwarika’s has added two fine dining establishments, one Japanese and the other Nepalese, to its excellent 24-hour international restaurant Toran. Many residents of Kathmandu have the Friday night poolside BBQ on their yearly calendars.

Food experiences at The Dwarika are based on our organic farms. The farms of Dwarika are dispersed throughout Nepal’s many topographies. The farms grow a variety of native crops and produce seasonal vegetables, herbs, and cereals.

Krishnarpan Restaurant

This is Dwarika’s Hotel’s signature restaurant, offering a Nepalese gastronomic experience in a slow-dining fashion. Every meal on the menu is carefully selected to reflect Dwarika’s organic farms. Guests get to choose from menus of about six to twenty-two courses that take them on a journey through Nepalese cuisines and regions. The restaurant is only open for dinner from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm, and prior reservations would have to be made.

Toran Restaurant

Breakfast at Toran includes a variety of foods, such as bacon and eggs, Nepalese snacks, and pleasant surprises like miso soup. Because it is a multicuisine restaurant, there are meal options that can be more relatable to international guests. The restaurant closes by 11:00 pm for non-guests at the hotel, but it is open 24 hours for hotel guests.

Mako’s Japanese Restaurant

This restaurant gets its name from the host and chef, Mako-san. The restaurant aims to give guests a feeling of Japanese culture by offering Japanese cuisine. The serene zen-like atmosphere reflects the chef’s way of life. The restaurant is open for dinner from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm, and prior reservations are required.

Fusion Bar

The Fusion Bar is located in a cozy cottage that is the former home of the founder. Guests are welcome to enjoy an after-dinner cigar while sipping unique cocktails and aperitifs with some snacks. The bar is open to all guests from noon till midnight.
